Ron Melbourne - General Manager

Ron fully acquired Membrane Concepts in 2010 after joining the company as a Partner and General Manager.  Ron is experienced in construction, retail and supply chain management, marketing and sales.  After a decade in different management roles for several Fortune 500 firms, Ron acquired and managed his own retail and property management businesses for 7 years.  Ron also spent several more years in the business consulting and intermediary fields prior to joining Membrane Concepts.

Ron is a graduate of The Ohio State University and has also earned an MBA with Distinction from Bentley University.  Ron is active in Rotary International as a past Club President and Assistant Governor, and is a member of the Board of Trustees for the Global Learning Charter Public School in New Bedford, Massachusetts where he currently resides with his family.

George Stencel - Founder

George has worked in the pool business for over 25 years installing both in-ground pools and 60 mil PVC liners. While working for Sarnafil in the 1990’s, George lead a team that developed the custom PVC Pool Lining business as an extension from the company’s commercial roofing side. When Sarnafil decided to exit the pool lining business, George left Sarafil and founded Membrane Concepts in 1996.  Since then he has installed hundreds of custom PVC Pool Liners, and has helped develop the market throughout the United States.

George is a graduate of Boston State College (now part of the UMASS system), and currently resides in Calabash, North Carolina with his family.
